A public health professional, animal welfare advocate, and longtime District 7 neighbor — running for Denver City Council because the best policy starts with showing up.

Public health is local.
Julian Wolff has spent his career in the unglamorous, essential work of making communities healthier. As Manager of Engagement and Planning at the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment, he leads the work of bringing residents into decisions about the air they breathe, the food they eat, and the neighborhoods they call home.
He has worked across animal welfare, environmental quality, and community engagement — the kinds of issues that rarely make headlines but shape daily life on every block in District 7.
Why he's running.
D7 deserves a council member who already knows how city systems work — and where they fall short. Julian is running because he believes the next chapter for this district is built on the same things that made it home: dense, walkable neighborhoods, small businesses, and neighbors who actually look out for each other.
Outside of work.
You'll find Julian at the dog park, walking South Broadway, supporting local restaurants, and showing up at the planning meetings most people skip. He cares deeply about animal welfare — both as policy and as a way of measuring how a city treats its most voiceless residents.

Recognized for service to pets and their people.
Julian and his team at Denver Animal Protection were honored with the Service to Customers Award for a program built on the Pets for Life model — providing free animal support services, transportation to appointments like vet visits, spay/neuter, vaccinations, and getting tickets rescinded.
By working with residents and their pets to get them the services they needed free of charge, the team removed tickets and replaced them with support — keeping families and their animals together.
